Organisational Culture in an Age of Austerity: Free E-Book from the RAND Institute

Whilst the field at large is dominated by the ideals of evidence based practices, the process of implementing it within a work force is almost completely unknown. This means that any practices are simply never effectively established within an organisational cultural. Research suggests that organisational change change attempts mostly result in a change in language or a change in paper work. But practitioners still interact with clients the same as they always have. Bringing organisational culture to a point of changing what happens at a practice level occurs in less than 5% of organisational change attempts.

The research agency RAND have published a short but fascinating book on understanding organisational cultural based on research not management theories. This free resources can be downloaded here.
