The National Institute of Drug Abuse in the US have produced some interesting patient simulation games to practice Motivational Interviewing skills. These games are free to use, you just have to register. The limits of the game are that they are a little wooden in places, but it gives an opportunity to try out a wide range of Motivational Interviewing skills. One great feature is they give you a detailed breakdown of your approach at the end of the session and areas you can develop. Well worth a practice if you would like to reflect on your learning in Motivational Interviewing. To play the games, click here. To play my Motivational Interviewing games, click here.
